Search performance from Bing
How Bing Webmaster Tools works with SearchFit
Connect Bing Webmaster Tools with a single API key and SearchFit pulls your Bing search performance: daily clicks and impressions, top queries, and top pages, shown in Insights beside your Google data. Bing's data is coarser than Search Console's. There are no country, device, or search appearance breakdowns, queries and pages come aggregated over Bing's reporting window rather than day by day, and history covers roughly the last six months. Bing also powers other search experiences, including ChatGPT search, so this is more than one engine's numbers.
What you can do
- Import daily clicks and impressions from Bing Webmaster Tools
- See your top Bing queries and pages, with clicks, impressions, CTR and position
- Compare Bing and Google performance side by side in Insights
Example use cases
- See whether pages that rank on Google also surface on Bing
- Watch Bing traffic as a proxy for visibility in ChatGPT search
How to connect
- In Bing Webmaster Tools, open Settings, then API access, then API key, and copy the key. Generate one there first if none exists.
- In SearchFit, open Connectors, find Bing Webmaster Tools and click Connect.
- Paste the API key. SearchFit checks it against Bing before saving, so a mistyped key is rejected there and then rather than failing on the first sync.
- Click Manage on the Bing card and pick which verified site to track. An account often holds several, and SearchFit will not guess.
- The first sync starts as soon as the site is chosen, and the data appears in Insights on the Bing Webmaster tab.
