How Squarespace works with SearchFit

Squarespace does not offer an API for creating blog posts or pages, so there is no Squarespace connection to set up and no way to publish to it directly. Export is the only supported method. SearchFit builds a WordPress format import file from the articles you choose, and you upload it in Squarespace under Settings, then Import / Export. The import runs once, so importing the same article again adds a second copy rather than updating the first.

How to export

In SearchFit, open Content and select the articles you want.
Choose Export for Squarespace from the actions menu, or open a single article and pick Squarespace under Publish.
A WordPress format .xml file downloads to your computer.
In Squarespace, go to Settings, then Import / Export, and choose Import.
Pick WordPress as the source and upload the file.
